Chapter 8: Creation

Iris:How much longer?

Kanrik turns around to look at her.
Kanrik: where half way there.

Iris: FINALLY! i can't wait.

They continued there trek through the snow when Iris began to notice something. the snow was melting.


 Iris: aww, is the winter wonderland going to melt before we get there?
 
Kanrik: We live so far south that it rarely ever snows there.

Iris:Awww....well i guess i deserve it...

Axel: what do you mean?

Iris: since i've done such horrible things apparently...

Axel:hey the snow isn't melting because of you.
Iris:but wouldn't it make sense? the gods hate me because of my acts!
 
Axel: Iris. There are no gods.

Iris:....oh...eheh....ok...maybe it is just melting...

Axel: there is only one God.

Iris: I know there's a Kingdom Hearts!

Kanrik: no iris. Kingdom Hearts is not a god.

Iris: then what the heck is?

Kanrik: first of all God is a he. Secondly He created everything.

Iris: nope, never heard of that kinda God.
 
Kanrik: God created all things but of all his creations he made you and I special.

Iris:what?

Kanrik: He willed the animals into being but he molded man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him.

Iris: how do you know this is true?

Kanrik: many centuries ago God spoke to men who by his direction wrote his words into several books. these books where all combined into one big book called the Bible. Here I have one.
He takes a large leather bound book with anglo saxon written on the cover.

Iris:the Bible... and what is that language?

Axel: It is Anglo-Saxon Ruins. The language of our kind.

Iris:Angelo Saxophone...? what..?
 
Kanrik: Anglo Saxon my dear. Can you read it?  

Iris: What in the name of i don't know!
 
Axel: Then how would you like for me to read it to you?
(Do you have New King James Version of the Bible?)

Iris:yea sure, go on.
(i don't know, i'll have to check.)
Axel opened to the first book of the Bible Genesis and began to read aloud.
Axel: chapter 1 In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. The Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters...
(im asking because thats the version I use)

Iris:Hmm...this is interesting.
(oh ok, i can't get mine to check at the moment, but it's probably the one i use.)
 
Axel: continued to read to her. Iris got to hear about the creation of light and the first day, the creation of the sky on the second day, the creation of land and plants on the 3rd day, the creation of the sun moon and stars on the 4th day, and the creation of the flying animals and fish on the 5th day.  

Iris started to wonder how all of this was possible, and became more intrigued each time she learned something new.

Axel began to read about the 6th day. He had just gotten finished with reading about the creation of the animals.
Axel:Then God said "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."  

Iris watched and listened very fascinated, totally forgetting about the long journey.
 
Axel: And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Iris clapped politely after he finished his sentence.
Iris: where did you get such a fascinating book?
 
Axel:Lady Semphia gave it to us. it has been printed many times. The queen wanted to make sure that every house hold had at least one.

Iris:huh, oh that reminds me how far are we until we get there?

Kanrik: where about an hour away.

Iris: can't wait till i can rest...my back aches like crazy....

Axel: Would you like to hear some more?

Iris: i guess...

Axel:Chapter 2 The Lord God planted a garden eastward of Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Iris: good and evil knowledge?

Axel: yes and God told man something about that tree.

Iris thought to herself for a minute.

Axel: wondering what he told him?

Iris:heh...yea...

Axel: And the Lord God commanded the man saying, "of every tree of the garden you ma freely eat; but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

Iris:....that's very intriguing... is there anything in there about sin?

Axel: Yes sin is born in this chapter.

Iris:...is what i want to do...killing my brother, a sin?

Axel begins to flip through the book he stopped at Proverbs chapter 6 and began to read verses 16-19
Axel: These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

Iris: i'm guilty, for all of that....
but...

Kanrik: but you can be cleansed of these sins.

Iris: how?

Kanrik: there are 6 steps to salvation. you must hear the word. you must believe the word, you must repent of your sins, you must confess the name of Jesus who is Gods son.  be baptized for the remission of your sins, And live faithfully for the rest of your days.    

Iris:Hrmm...sounds complicated, but i still feel lie killing a Diviner and bathing in their blood.

Kanrik: Murder is a serious crime in this land.

Iris: so it's heavily tolerated?

Kanrik: All Murderers are ether rehabilitated or Executed. You should be grateful that the council showed you mercy.

Iris:Meep...

Kanrik: Anyways where here.
Axel: Iris WELCOME TO OUR HOME!

Iris gazed upon the magnificent sight, her jaw dropping she didn't even realize it.

It was a stunning medieval green castle built on the side of a cliff with its back to the sea.
(feel free to describe the surrounding area)

The area surrounding it was a forest, along with a tiny field of flowers that had a rainbow of colors, the forest only covering one area, but the snow on the ground could still be seen melting fast.

Kanrik: Beautiful isn't it?

Iris:this...

Axel: well come on Iris race ya to the mote.

Iris: oh your on!
Iris pulled on her reins as she stated gaining speed, trying to outrun Axel and his horse.

Kanrik watched the two young ones race off
Kanrik: Iris I believe that there is still some good in you. And I will do all that I can to help you.

Iris: i'm gonna beatcha!!!!

Axel: Oh no your not!!

Iris and Axel were very into the race, wanting to win more than anything.
 
Iris soon passes Axel up

Iris:ha take that!

Axel: Oh no you don't!

Both were at top speed now, as they approached the large castle.

Axel quickly passes her up and wins the race to the draw bridge.


Iris: dangit! you're gonna pay for that!

Axel: sure I am.

both of them laughed a little and began to cross the drawbridge, while they both met up a the same speed.

They soon found themselves in a lovely garden with lots of fountains and ponds.

Iris:Whoa...this is way prettier than where i live...

Kanrik: I thought it would be.

Iris turns to Kanrik,
Iris: so you finally talk.

Kanrik: you mean I finally caught up with you.

Iris: well, you were kinda slow.

Kanrik: I was not racing like you to. Now come this way we have to set these horses out to pasture.

Iris and Axel both followed as Iris complained with a sigh.
Iris: the work begins.

Kanrik: It will begin tomorrow. for now we can rest.
He lead them over to a fenced in field with several horses graseing in it.

Iris:That.is a lot of horses.

Kanrik: Indeed Iris it is.
He got off his horse and began to remove its tack.

Iris got off slowly, trying not to kick the horse yet again as she stretched out her vertebrae, heaving a long sigh.
 
Kanrik finishes and opens the gate as he leads his horse into the field.

Iris:Ugh, i could use some beauty sleep, and some make up.

Kanrik: And I know just the person who can help you with that.

Iris:Heh..?

Kanrik: Do you remember that special someone I mentioned before?

Iris:Hrmm...sorta.... it's kind of a blur.

Kanrik: Well this person just so happens to be my wife. She specializes in hair and makeup and all kinds of stuff like that.

Iris:really? but i use blood for my make up. see?
she goes into her bag an pulls out a tiny kit, it contained crimson red types of make up that gave off a foul odor.( ok, even i admit this is sick, but something Iris would do.)
 
Kanrik: may I see that?

Iris shyly hands over the make up, while she looks the other direction hiding her face.

Kanrik takes the "makeup". steps a few paces back. and then burns the "makeup" in the palm of his hand tuning it into ash.

Iris:what did you for that for!?!?! (I'm glad that he did that.)

Kanrik: You wont be needing it.

Iris glares at Kanrik as she sighs, but it's makes such good make up!
 
Kanrik: THAT DOESNT MATTER IRIS. YOU WILL LEARN THAT LIFE IS SACRID. AND THAT USEING THE BLOOD OF OTHERS IN SUCH A MANNER DEVALUES THERE EXISTENCE. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?

Iris was slightly terrified, it reminded her of the horrific time when Saix attacked her with his weapon.
Iris:Fine...
 
Kanrik: Come on then lets go introduce you to the rest of my family shall we?
Axel:Ill stay here and take care of the horses.

Iris followed slouching the whole way, while slightly examining the world around her.

They entered into the castles great hall witch was adorned with many beautiful tapestries.

Iris: wow...

Kanrik: You ant seen nothing yet.

Iris: how can it get better than this?

Kanrik: trust me it just can.
(lead them to a large room somewhere in the castle)

Iris spotted something in the corner of her eye that led to another room, it sparkled like a diamond and she immediately fast walked her way over to it.
(hopefully this helps?)

Inside the room she found a large array of tanks filled with all kinds of mythical sea dwellers. she also saw a female figure standing at one of the tanks looking at the beings inside.

Iris: who is she?

Kanrik walks over and looks inside.

Kanrik: my Heart.

Iris looks at disbelief as she exclaims:
Iris: Your heart!?!

Kanrik looks at her and rolls his eyes

Kanrik: not literally.

Iris: you could of been more specific.

Kanrik stepped into the room and began to sing.

Iris was amazed at his singing, she watched as "his heart" gazed in awe.
 
Heart: KANRIK YOUR HOME!! she cried joyusly as she ran into his arms.

Iris watched as she cursed under her breath, obviously not enjoying it.( wow rude.)

Axel:well arnt you well behaved.

Iris: Haha, that's funny.

Axel: There is punishment for that kind of language around here. Isn't that right Mother?

Iris:Mo-mother?

Kanrik: Iris I would like you to meet my wife and Axel's mother Rose.
Rose was a sapphire blue otter with sea green eyes and a long curly mass of dirty blonde hair on her head. she was wearing a pink Gypsy dress. complete with bandana and jewelry. (thank of esmareldas getup. what do you think her punishment should be because I was thinking of letting her have the pleasant taste of soap in her mouth for an hour.)

Iris: Well, this is most interesting, an otter?

Rose: yes my dear and because of your filthy mouth im afraid I have to wash it out. (you know what to do.)

Iris was taken by Rose to the bathroom, and put her head above the sink as Iris protested and strangled with all her might, until Rose shoved a bar of soap into her mouth in one swift motion, silencing Iris. (i have a feeling that this will happen to Iris more than once XD)
 
Kanrik: That should teach her. Now have you seen your brother Demyx yet Axel? (INDEED)


Axel:Hmm... not yet.
(Yea, it's definitely going to happen a lot more than just this.)
 
Kanrik:he must be on the beach then. Has he done his chores?

Axel: i hope he has.

Kanrik: go and find him and see if he has. I will stay here and help your mother.
Axel: yes sir.
