Mending the Bond a spooky side story

It was a windy on the night of Lord Charles's birthday. everyone had come to his annual masquerade party including the diviners who had just arrived behind the royal family.

However, this masquerade party was like no other, for they were already planning something quite creative that would help everyone have a good time.

They had decorated his mansion to look like a haunted one.

All of the Diviners were very excited to put on their most favorite costume, and to the unsuspecting visitors, they were going to get a big surprise.

speaking of which they had just appeared at the main road where the drive started.

All were unsuspecting of what would happen on this night....

Mika: we have arrived.
she looked around and saw the dirt road leading into the forest.

Mika:Hmm.......

random assassin: shall we go that way malady?

Mika:Yes, and let's end the life of anything or pest who blocks our path...

they began there way up the road unaware that they where being watched.

Meanwhile at the party

Charles:WELCOME EVERYONE TO MY HAUNTED MANSION!!

Saix:Now that, is some pretty good acting.

Nax: indeed shall we dance?

Saix:Most certainly.

They danced across the ballroom floor in time with the other dancers

Saix smiled and Nax blushed.

(the opening music of the haunted mansion plays)
Charles: Christine my darling may i have this dance?

Christine: but of course my dear~

They danced for a few hours before entering the dining room where the birthday feast waited.
Saix: ooh.....

They had already said the blessing and had sat down to eat when Xigbar ran up to his father and whispered something into his ear.

Xigbar whispered:

Charles: attention everyone! i have just received some bad news. The assassins have somehow made it into this world and are coming this way.

SAix and NAx froze in their tracks:No.....this can't be...

Charles: but don't worry I have a plan.

Saix:What is it?

Charles: we will scare there pants off of course

SAix ginned evilly:i like this plan.

Charles: but first we will need to change your appearances and costumes to fit the roles of the haunted mansion.

Saix:What will I be?
Nax:And me too!

Charles: saix you are the ghostly groom in the ballroom looking for his bride. Nax you are the ghost bride in the attic with your heart glowing red and slowly beating as you wait for your love to find you.

SAix:I'm liking this.
Nax:Me too.

Charles: Emi you will play the role of Madame leota. Xemnas you will play the role of master Gracie. Phyra you will be the ghostly maid. The rest of you will be ghosts throughout the mansion. But first I need 4 diviners to be the invisible ghosts who open the gate and the doors.

Emi:alright!
Xemnas: ooh~
Phyra:Aww yea!

Charles walked up to where the organ stood on the far side of the room and spread his arms and wings. He began to mutter something under his breath as a wind began to swirl around them and candle lights flickered out.

Saix:What's going on?
everyone started to chatter.

After the wind died down they noticed that there clothes had changed and that they had become ghost like.

SAix:Whoa...
Everyone:HOW?!?!

Charles: now it's believable. Alright everyone places!

Everyone got into their places.

Charles: now my darling Christine let us take our places in the graveyard as the opera singers.

Christine took his hand.

They soon vanished leavening saix and several dozen diviners in the dinning room

Saix:Heh..

Meanwhile outside.

Mika:Hmm....

They had stopped at an iron gate that was locked tight. beyond the gate was an old mansion.

Mika:Huh, what a strange mansion.

Random assassin: shall we break in?

Mika:LEt's do this.

They tried to open the gate in every way they could think of but it would not budge. meanwhile two diviners who had become invisible went out the back door and headed towards the gate to unlock it.

Diviners:Heehee~

The assassins gave up and started to walk away when the gate started to slowly open. (haunted mansion track 5)

Mika:Huh, that's....ok...then...
 
They entered in and began to scan the permitter. axel and thex went around towards the back to discover that the backyard was a massive graveyard.

AXel:Well, this is appropriate.

They saw a flash of lighting and heard the ruble of thunder. this was caused by Larxene, Torbin, and Xaldin in the sky.

Axel: ooh~

Thex: we better find some shelter.

Axel nodded.

they ran back to warn the others.

Axel:Hey, uh.

at that moment it started to rain.

They both ran up to the door, and started to knock nonstop and desperately.

the rest of the assassins ran up and pounded on the door which was opened by an invisible diviner.  

they all slowly entered the foyer marveling at its beauty.

Mika wow...pretty nice place I guess.

The door closed behind them.

An Assassin: oi! the door shut!

The lights dimmed creating an eire glow.

Mika:What kind of mansion is this?

???: when hedges creak in door less chambers and storage and frightening sounds eco through the halls whenever candle lights flicker where the air is deathly still. That is the time when ghosts are present practicing there terror with goolish delight.

Mika:Who's there!?!

A ghostly bat Rolin with long hair and golden eyes appeared at the top of the second floor balcony.
Xemnas: welcome foolish mortals to the haunted mansion. I am your host your ghost host
He bowed and gave a short sinister chuckle.

Mika:Yea, yea, what now?
Xemnas vanished and then reappeared in front of a hallway and motioned to it
Xemnas: kindly step all the way in please and make room for everyone. There's no turning back now.

Mika:Ha, whatever you say

He leads them down the hall and into a hexagon shaped room with many paintings in it.
Xemnas: our tour begins here in this gallery where you see paintings of some of our guests as they appeared in some of there more corruptible mortal states.

Mika:They just look like old paintings to me.
Assassin Girl:Uh...Boss..
they soon noticed that the paintings and the walls seemed to be stretching
Xemnas: your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding...almost as if you sense a disquieting metamorphosis. Is this haunted room actually stretching? Or is it your imagination hmmm?

Mika:Use smaller words!

Xemnas: and consider this dismaying observation. This chamber has no windows and no doors.

Mika:SO no light?

Xemnas: which offers you this chilling challenge. TO FIND A WAY OUT!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

MIka:Uh, ok...

The assassins all screamed with terror as they tried to find an exit.

Xemnas: of corse there's always my way.

With this he vanished from sight and the candle lit room went black.

One of the assassin boy's looked around nervously, and then his eyes widened as he looked at the ceiling, "Umm...Master...."
Mika:What is it?
Assassin Boy:The...above...you...
Mika looked upward.

There in the flashing glow of a lighting bolt was the hanged corpse of the ghost Rolin.

Mika:EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!

the room went black as they herd a sicking clamor of bones hitting the floor.

Mika:Umm.....

The candles relit as there ghostly tour guide reappeared.

Mika: ok, what are you just planning here!?!!

Xemnas: Oh I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely. He chucked.

Mika:Wh....ohhhh

xemnas: the real chills come later.

Mika:Ha! Do you really think you can scare me?

Assassin Boy:Uhh....Master..?

Mika: what?!

Mika froze in fear.

Xemnas: now as they say "look alive" and we'll continue our little tour. And let's all stay together please.

At this a secret door opened on the right side of the room.

Mika:Uh....

Xemnas turned and went through the door. Seeing nowhere else to go the assassins followed him.

Mika:Where are you taking us?

Xemnas: there are several prominent ghosts who have retired here from creepy old crypts all over the world. Actually we have 999 happy haunts here.

Mika:Then....where's the 1,000?

Xemnas: but theres room for 1000...any volunteers? Humm? HA HA HA HA HA HA! If you insist on lagging behind you may not need to volunteer.

Mika felt a drop of sweat on her forehead and took in a big gulp,"I ain't afraid of..you!"

Xemnas: we find it delightfully unlivable here in this ghostly retreat. Every room has wall to wall creeps. And hot n cold running chills....shhh...listen.

Mika listened with a slight chill down her spine.


Ghosts: wooooh! Oooooh! Aaaaahhh!

Mika jolted backwards and two assassins freaked out and screamed.

They entered the conservatory to see a coffin that had been nailed down.

Xemnas: all our ghosts have been DIEING to meet you.

Mika:.O_o

The coffin started to move as a hand from within in tried to push it open.
Ghost in the coffin: let me outa here! Let me outa here!
Xemnas: this one can hardly contain himself.
He chuckled

Mika: O_________o

Xemnas moved down the hall where doors breathed and where banged upon by ghosts. The walls where covered in a ghoulish wallpaper and portraits that changed as they walked past. Young women became old, people became skeletal, etc.

Mika:What kind of place is this? O_o
 
Xemnas: unfortunately they all seem to have trouble getting through.

Mika:.....?

the ghosts moaned and screamed from behind the doors. a grandfather clock with a 13 where the 12 should be spinning out of control.

MIka:That...this...agh.....

They passed a flight of stairs with glowing footprints as they entered the seance room.
Xemnas: perhaps Madame leota can establish contact. She has a remarkable head for materializing...the disembodied.

Assassin Boy:"screams" KYAAAAAAAAAA "runs like heck out of the hall"

Xemnas: there goes number 1000.

Mika:Hey! You come back here!
No response.

They entered the room to see emi's head in a Crystal ball.

Mika:EMI?>!>!>!>!
Emi: serpents and spiders tail of a rat call in the spirits where ever there at.

Mika:This...can't be real.....

Emi: rap on a table it's time to respond. Send us a message from somewhere beyond.

Mika:Now that....can't....

Emi: goblins and gooles from last Halloween. Awaken the spirits with your tambourine.

Mika:..!!!

Emi: creepies and crawlies toads in a pond. Let there be music from reagons beyond.

Mika: O__________________________________________________________o

An invisible band began to play

Mika:WHO'S..DOING THAT?

Emi: wizards and witches wherever you dwell. Give us a hint, by ringing a bell.

Mika:....

A bell ringed.

Mika turned towards the bell sound.

Xemnas: the happy haunts have received your sympathetic vibrations and are beginning to materialize.

Mika:Anyone got a weapon!>!?

Xemnas: there assembling for a swinging wake.

Mika:ah...uh....

Xemnas: and they'll be expecting me. I'll see you all a little later.

He vanished from sight.

Mika:Huh, say Axel where do you th-
Axel and Thex were gone.

Axel and thex where following a ghost ball to an old elevator.
Meanwhile in the foyer
Kanrik: where here!
Iris: where is everyone?
Terra: are we at the right place?
Ryuu: aww is the party over?

Kanrik:Hmm.....it seems to be kind of "creepy" and decorated like a horror house.

Semphia: that's because the assassins are here and where tricking them.

Kanrik:really?
Ryuu:This sounds fun!

Semphia: you are part of the graveyard scene. Go out there to receive your roles from Charles.

They all nodded as they headed out.

After they left axel and thex appeared from a different hall.

Axel:Which hall is this?

They saw the queen in the foyer.

Axel: oh....hi.

Semphia: hello my name is Semphia I am the queen of this realm. And who might you be?

Axel:I'm Axel.
Thex:I'm Thexsil.

Semphia: it is a pleasure to meet you. But first we must hide you from the others in your group until they leave.

They both nodded and took a step forward to Semphia.

She lead them into the library. There they would stay until the others left.

Back with the assassins.

Mika: O_o

Assassin: shall we go forward malady?

Mika nodded:Yes, we can't let this scare us now.

They entered the ballroom to see a wedding feast. Some of the ghosts where dancing while others where eating. At one end of the room a ghostly organist played the opening to beauty and the beast on the organ.

Mika:What is this place?

they spotted a sorrowful wolf groom who seemed to be weeping.

The assassin group went over to the wolf groom as Mika asked, "Uh, what's wrong?"

groom: I cant find my bride. we had just gotten married when she left with one of her friends to go do something and she never returned.

Mika:I'm...sorry, sir.

groom(saix): I waited for so long that i died here along with the guests.

Mika: oh..my....

Groom: and now i even have to spend the rest of my afterlife without her.
he sobbed.

Mika:I kinda feel....agh....

Assassin: lets move on.

 Mika shook her head:Yea, you're right.

they started to walk away as toran whispered to the groom.

Toran: if i see a bride i will point her in your direction.

The groom nodded.

they went out of the ballroom and entered a hallway with a flight of stairs at the end.

Mika:Where are we now?
 
they all shrugged as they walked towards the end and walked up the stairs.

Mika:At least the frights have been dying down....

they entered the dark attic cautiously.

Mika:Hello? anyone in here?

they herd the thump thump of a heart.

Mika:Uhh....O_o

They saw a ghostly bride with a decaying gown standing there in the attic. in one hand she held a candle and in the other her flowers. her heart was visibly beating as she cried.
Mika:Um....hello?
 
She looked up tears in here eyes.

Bride(nax): Yes? she sobbed.

Mika:I think I saw a groom somewhere around here.
 
The brides face lit up then she became sad again.

Bride: I cant leave my dress is suck in the trunk i died in. if only someone would help me. then i could go see my husband. oh he must think i don't love him with me being gone for so long.

Mika:Maybe..I can help?

The bride smiled
Bride: Oh would you! i would be ever so grateful!

Mika nodded her head.

Bride: then go and get my groom only he can free me.

Mika retraced her steps and went back to find the Groom.

She found him in the ballroom talking to some of the guests.

Groom: yes?

Mika:I found...

Groom: you found her?!

Mika nodded.

Groom: Take me to her!!

Mika nodded and them grabbed the groom's hand as she directed him.

Once in the attic they stopped in front of the bride. The groom stared wide eyed in disbelief.
Groom: is that you my darling?

The bride gave a happy smile:It is!

At hearing this the groom swept her up in his arms and gave her a passionate kiss.

Mika:........
The assassins decided to leave the ghostly couple and find a way out.

Mika:Alright everyone.

???:Not so fast.

they turned to see a tall figure with a top hat on his head and a hatbox in his hand. the figure looked kind of like a horse...a corpse horse for it was so thin that the bones in his hands where visible. he smiled a gruesome smile.

Mika: OHMAH WAHT IS AHHHH!

???: so sorry where are my manners. i am the Hatbox ghost.

he said bowing.

Mika:YOU. ARE, FREAKISHLY SKINNY!
 
Hatbox(axel): Of corse i am im a ghost arnt i?

Mika:STAY.AWAY.

All of a sudden his head disappeared.

Mika:AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hatbox: oh crap where did that head of mine go?

Mika froze in terror.

There in the hatbox sat the grinning head of the ghost.

Mika fainted from the horror.

The assassins picked her up and took her downstairs and out the door to the graveyard.

Mika: x_x

One assassin put a smelling salt under her nose


Mika: O_O


they entered the graveyard and saw a quire of singing busts.

Mika:....

the busts: When the crypt doors creak and the tombstone quake
Spooks come out for a swinging wake
Happy haunts materialize and begin to vocalize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Now don’t close your eyes and don’t try to hide
Or a silly spook may sit by you’re side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

As the moon hangs high over the dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for a midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird ghouls gleam where the spirits dwells
Restless bones etherealize
Arising spooks of every size
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Mika: O___o

they walked past to see a small group of ghosts having a tea party.

Mika:How is that possible?

a small group of children ghost's on bikes zoomed past.

Assassin boy:"shrieks like a girl" 

they continued on as some ghosts in the mosoleums  tried to get out.

Mika: Don't.let them...touch you O_o

they saw a scraggily old black cat cross there path.

Mika:Isn't that a sign of....O_o
 
they heard a howl in the distance as they came upon a mummy talking to an undertaker.

Mika:....ee....

then they spotted a king (kanrik) and a queen(rose) se-sawing using a tombstone as the fulcrum while a duchess(Iris) sat on a swing.

Mika:...these people....

they walked on to see two men (terra and ryuu) participating in a duel.

Mika:Who are these two?

then they saw a hand sticking out of one of the mosoleums who was trying to close up the hole in his final resting place. (instead of let me outa here its let me in here)

Mika: O__O EEK!
 
Then they heard the most beautiful yet eery voices singing together.


Mika:Why is it..so eerie, yet beautiful?

They followed the voice to find a lovely opera soprano and her tall skeletal tenor singing the ending duet of Faust.

Mika:.....

they ended there song and stared to sing phantom.

Mika:This song....

Christine: I am the mask you ware.

as she sang this she removed his mask to reveal his corpse like face.

Mika: O_O

Charles: its me they hear.

he sang in his angelic voice.

Mika:.....it's....

many of the assassins ran away in terror.

Mika froze in terror.

Charles turned to look at her.

Mika:._.

He smiles sinisterly.

Charles: Run along now little girl.

Mika sprints away.

they run a little ways before spotting a criminal, an executioner, and a knight holding his head in his hands.  

Mika: what is this?

They where singing the same song as the busts.

Mika:What is with all of this music!?!?

All of a sudden Xemnas reappeared.

Mika:You again...

Xemnas: ahhh there you are.

Mika:What is with this place?!

xemnas: there's a little matter that I forgot to mention.

Mika:ANd?

Xemnas: beware of hitchhiking ghosts! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Mika:huh?

Xemnas: they have selected you to fill our quota and they'll haunt you until you return.

Mika:EH?!?!

Xemnas: now I will open the gate and a ghost will follow you home! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Mika:NO!

They left through the gate

Mika:What.....just....

They began to hear ghostly voices

Ghost: hurry back hurry back

Ghost: be Shure to bring your death certificate...if you decide to join us.

Ghost: make final arrangements now.

Ghost: we've been DIEING to have you.

Mika shrieked like a little girl and ran around in circles.

they all ran away screaming as they heard mechanical laughter in there ears.

Mika:STAY AWAY!

she ran smack dab into the chest of a great black bat Rollin with gold eyes and long lilac hair (the seeker of darkness)

Mika: O_O

???: you have been tricked.

Mika:W-What??!

???: that's not a haunted house that's lord Charles mansion.

Mika:SO ALL THIS TIME. WAIT. THAT MEANS

???: yes. The ghosts where real people
Mika:AAAHHHH WHHAAAATTTTTTT

???: you want vengeance correct?

Mika:Yes....

???: follow me.

Mika followed with a look of wonder.

They disappeared into the forest

Meanwhile at the mansion.

Kanrik:That...was....

Ryuu: AMAZIG!

Saix jumped for joy.

they all jumped for joy and spun around in circles with glee.

Nax:We got em!

Saix got a good look at her for the first time that night since they transformed and he blushed deep red.

SAix:I...Nax...

nax: yes?

Saix:You look..beautiful....

nax blushed

Nax: thank you.

Saix smiled.

Saix: my dear i have a question for you.

NAx:Huh?

he got down on bended knee and pulled out a small box.

NAx:"blushing incredibly"
he opened the box to reveal a silver ring with a moon shaped diamond set in it.

Saix: will you marry me?

NAx:YES!!!

he got up and placed the ring on her right ring finger.

Nax: Oh Saix!

There faces grew closer as they leaned in for a kiss.

Soon, their lips connected.
 
Saix's hands stroked her back while her hands became tangled in his hair.

Kanrik watched with a smile.

The queen sighed as she rested her head on Erik's shoulder.

Erik smiled and looked down at her.

she looked up and erik gave her a light peck on her lips.

She blushed and smiled.

Saix and nax pulled away for air.

Saix:I love you~

he said as he stroked her cheek.

Nax said as he pulled him in for an embrace, "I love you too"

 They gazed into each others eyes

as they both smiled yet again, a slight red tinted on their cheeks.
 
There wolf noses touched

They both smiled in glee.

Roxas: eeeewww!

Xion: oh come on Roxas really!

Everyone laughed at them.

Saix: may I have this dance?

NAx: of course.

And so they danced the night away
